Kid Cudi to replace Kanye West as Rolling Loud Miami Headliner

Kayne West will no longer be headlining the opening night of the Rolling Loud Miami 2022 festival, the organisers have announced. Kid Cudi will now be playing the slot at the Hard Rock Stadium on Friday, July 22nd. Future and Kendrick Lamar will headline the other nights of the festival.

Festival co-founders Tariq Cherif and Matt Zingler said in a statement, “We were looking forward to Ye headlining Rolling Loud Miami 2022. We spent months working with him and his team on the performance.”

“Unfortunately, Ye has decided that he will no longer be performing,” the statement continued. “This is the first time a headliner has ever pulled off our show and though we don’t take it lightly, we wish him the best. We look forward to welcoming Kid Cudi as a headliner in Miami and we can’t wait to see what he has in store.”

Kanye also pulled out of headlining the Coachella Music and Arts Festival 2022. He had suggested that he would not play the slot after demanding an apology from Billie Eilish after she made comments about Travis Scott not helping a fan during one of his shows.

Kanye took offence to the comments and said he would not play Coachella unless Eilish apologised. He has now pulled out of the festival and was recently sued by an LA production company claiming they will not be paid because of his non-performance.

In February this year, Kanye and Cudi fell out publicly over an online altercation concerning Cudi’s friendship with the comedian Pete Davidson, who is allegedly dating Kim Kardashian. The two rappers had both featured on Pusha T’s track ‘Rock N Roll’. Cudi has now suggested that that will be his final collaboration with Kanye.
