Chicago rapper, producer and entrepreneur Kanye West has decided to release an impromptu documentary about himself and his antics following all of his recent shenanigans. Entitled Last Week, the 30-minute documentary shows Kanye behind-the-scenes footage of his business and personal life.
The intro of the documentary sees a West-like figure inside a video game, taking on the Japanese criminal underworld of Sibuya. The documentary then comes back to reality as viewers see West conducting business, listening to staff pitches and driving around listening to his own music.
In one of the songs, we hear West rap, “You a fake bitch/You don’t really love Ye, go listen to Drake, bitch/You don’t have no idea what it take, bitch/Go listen to Lil Baby, go listen to Future, bitch.”
The documentary also shows Kanye in a mediated meeting with what appears to be representatives of Adidas. In this footage, he compares one of the representatives to a porn star. During the meeting, one of Yeezy’s representatives says, “What you’re feeling right now is extreme discomfort, and that is exactly the point. Because when someone steals this man’s ideas, his creations, it’s like you’re stealing a child. These are all children of his mind, and you’ve kidnapped them.”
In Last Week, we see West look over potential properties for his Yeezy Christian Academy. We also see the rapper and billionaire watch his daughter, North West, play basketball at a school. He momentarily sees Kim Kardashian.
This rather strange, enigmatic and ambiguous documentary comes only hours after both Twitter and Instagram banned Kanye from their platforms. West has been blackballed due to content he posted which has been described as “dangerous” and “antisemitic” by the Anti-Defamation League.
In a since-deleted Instagram post, the rapper revealed a text which read, “I’m a bit sleepy tonight, but when I wake up, I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE,” his post read. ‘The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew, also You guys have toyed with me and tried to blackball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.”
