Kanye West and The Game troll Beyoncé’s mother with horny new song ‘Tina’
Kanye West and The Game have joined forces on a horny new song called ‘Tina’, inspired by Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles. The businesswoman, fashion designer and philanthropist is the subject of the record, which was released on February 25th after Ye made several posts about her.
Taking to Instagram early in the morning, Kanye shared an image of a banana emoji with the caption, “Tear that monkey up.” Ye provided more context about the post, showing a direct message conversation with Knowles. In the caption, he wrote, “This Game’s phone,” which showed the Compton rapper sending a banana emoji to her.
Kanye then posted a video of Knowles doing the spirit tunnel walk on The Jennifer Hudson Show with the caption, “Game finna slide for the guys.” The posts suggest Game has a crush on Knowles and is shooting his shot at her.
Yeezy went on to post a video of The Game rapping in a studio, previewing lyrics from their song. “TINA BY GAME PRODUCED BY ME,” he wrote in the caption. The intro for ‘Tina’ samples the clip from The Jennifer Hudson Show before Game raps, “I see my Destiny’s Child/ DMing was stressing me out/ Nervous, my stomach in knots/ So I took a couple of shots.”
Kanye then posted the full music video for ‘Tina‘, which finds them trading bars over a sample of Tina Turner’s 1984 song ‘What’s Love Got to Do with It’. At the end of the clip, the camera zones in on a man wearing a balaclava who explains the whole scenario.
“The Game slid into Tina Knowles’ DM’s,” the anonymous man says. “Everybody was going crazy like, ‘What are you doing? Don’t do that,’ but he did it anyway. The Instagram post came after, and everybody began commenting on it. Somebody saw a banana post after it.”
He continues, “Then five minutes later, an Instagram post turned into a song. And now, everybody stops laughing and everybody’s in awe just watching this all go down because the song then turned into a whole directed music video. Everybody was going crazy again. Then a music video turned into a basis for this whole album. And then before we know it, The Documentary 3.”
Ye and The Game have collaborated several times on songs such as ‘Crack Music’ from Late Registration, ‘Wouldn’t Get Far’ on Doctor’s Advocate, and ‘Eazy’ from Drillmatic: Heart vs. Mind. Ye also produced ‘Dreams’ from Game’s debut album, The Documentary, and ‘Angel’ from LAX.
