Lawyer says Kanye West’s ex-assistant is in “hiding” after sex trafficking allegations

Kanye West was recently hit with the refiling of a sexual assault lawsuit. According to an attorney, the woman who brought the allegations is hiding.

Ye’s ex-assistant, Lauren Pisciotta, began working for him in 2021 and initially sued the rapper in June 2024, with claims of sex trafficking, stalking, assault, and rape.

Arick Fudali, her lawyer, told the BBC that she’s “afraid” and hiding away ahead of the case returning to court in August.

Fudali said Pisciotta is “just sort of sitting around and hiding – letting this lawsuit play out. It’s really sad – she’s gone through a lot. She is suffering and has been suffering since she began working for Mr West.”

Pisciotta amended her filing in July 2025 after claiming she became a target of swatting less than a week after her original lawsuit.

In response to the claims, a spokesperson for Kanye told Page Six, “Lauren Pisciotta’s amended complaint is the fourth version she has advanced. Each new revision contradicts the others; each is more absurd and outlandish than all previous claims combined. Does Ms Pisciotta actually believe her confabulations? We cannot know. But this breathless new instalment of fantasy fiction discredits all past, present and future testimony.

“The Courts are no place to indulge delusions and mental disturbances. We stand ready to annihilate Ms Pisciotta’s tall tales before a jury — an exoneration so inevitable that even she, lost in her fog of fantasy, must surely see it coming.”

An attorney for Pisciotta, Lisa Bloom, addressed the statement to the Daily Mail. “While Kanye West’s publicist has come up with a slickly worded (and outrageously false and defamatory) attack on Ms Pisciotta, Kanye himself has publicly admitted much of what she’s claiming,” she said.

“Kanye’s publicist is deafeningly silent on Kanye’s own admissions, which will destroy him in court. We look forward to seeing him there, where he cannot hide behind a high priced spin team.”
