Kanye West praises President Donald Trump for ending wokeness

Kanye West has commended Donald Trump for his policies, claiming the current president of the United States has ended wokeness. The term “woke” has often been used to describe liberal views, including the awareness of social inequalities such as racial injustice, sexism and denial of LGBTQ rights.

Ye took to X (formerly known as Twitter) on March 4th to state that “wokeness” was negative and that the ideology is no longer prominent in society. “WOKENESS IS BAD,” he wrote. “WOKENESS IS TROUBLE. IT’S GONE. THANK YOU, PRESIDENT TRUMP.”

The Chicago rapper shared his views following Trump’s address to a joint session of Congress, having posted a clip from the meeting. The part of the address in question saw Trump speaking about keeping dollars in the United States.

“We give hundreds of billions of dollars and it doesn’t mean a thing,” he said in his speech. “They take our money, and they don’t spend it. We’re giving them no money. All that was important to them was they didn’t want to pay the tariffs, so they came in their building and many other companies are coming. We don’t have to give them money.”

This isn’t the first time Kanye has praised Trump this year. In February, he celebrated Trump’s second presidential term while bragging about his billionaire status.

“Trump’s back in office. Ye’s back a billionaire. The world might just be OK,” he wrote, before joking about wearing the trademark MAGA hat years ago. “I risked my life to wear a red hat then he turned it black,” he said.

Kanye made sexual comments about Kamala Harris, who was running for president against Trump, after she lost the race. “I used to want to fuck Kamala until she lost,” he said. “I don’t fuck losers anymore.” He later added, “The democrats made me take the loser post down. Naw I’m kidding. Dey don’t control black people no more. Trump 4 life.”

He then apologised for his comments about the former vice president, writing, “Kamala seems like a very nice human. I just wanna say sorry to her kids.”

Ye has been supportive of Trump over the years, once calling him his “brother” and claiming they share “dragon energy.”
