Kanye West lashes out at Pete Davidson and Kid Cudi in new Instagram post

Kanye West has thrown shade at Pete Davidson and Kid Kudi, taking to Instagram to celebrate the breakup of the former’s relationship with Kim Kardashian.

News of Davidson’s breakup with Kardashian arrived last week when reports emerged that the pair have split up after nine months. Kanye West, Kardashian’s ex-husband, has since shared a fake New York Times front page with the headline: “Skete Davidson Dead At Age 28.”

West has been critical of the pair’s relationship since they started dating. In his video for Eazy’, the rapper is depicted burying Davidson alive while he raps the line: “God saved me from that crash / Just so I can beat Pete Davidson’s ass”. West also chose to spread a rumour about Davidson having AIDS.

For a time, Davidson ignored West’s insults. However, shortly after the second ‘Eazy’ video was released, the American comedian, wrote the rapper the following text: “I’ve decided I’m not gonna let you treat us like this anymore and I’m done being quiet.”West subsequently asked Davidson where he was, presumably to give him the pummelling he’d been forecasting. Davidson replied with a selfie captioned, “in bed with your wife”.

But it isn’t just Davidson who West has attacked in his latest Instagram post. Beneath the headline, in small print, reads the subheading, “Kid Cudi meant to play funeral but fearful of bottle throwers.” The line is a reference to Kid Cudi’s decision to walk offstage during a headline set at Rolling Loud after members of the crowd started bottling the musician while chanting West’s name.

Cudi was asked to replace Kanye West on the bill of the Miami concert after the rapper “decided that he [would] no longer be performing”. The pair were once close friends, but have had an increasingly fractious relationship for nearly a decade now. Tensions reignited earlier this year, apparently because of Cudi’s friendship with Davidson.
