Kanye West and Young Moose appear to hit the studio

On June 4th, a photo of Chicago rapper Kanye West alongside Baltimore rapper Young Moose surfaced on Instagram. The photo depicted the two in the studio and, following his recent collaborations with Ty Dolla $ign it looks like Young Moose may be Ye’s next musical partner.

Earlier this year, during an appearance on Justin Laboy’s The Download podcast, Kanye West named some of his favourite MCs and Moose was surprisingly one of them. Ye, told Laboy that 21 Savage was his top rapper, he then cited Kodak Black and concluded, “There’s this new rapper out of Baltimore named [Young] Moose who we’re working with.”

In his post, Young Moose (real name Kevron Evans) wrote, “@ye Thanks For Changing My Life. It’s Up! [earth emoji] Da BIGGEST That Did It!!! [earth emoji] Now Watch This! [side-eye emoji, blushing emoji, goat emoji] #HistoryMade [stacked-books emoji].”

Evans has been making music for almost a decade. His most renowned track is ‘Tru Bill’ which has almost four million views on YouTube. Unfortunately, one reason why the talented young man hasn’t been able to progress is due to his continuous brushes with the law.

In 2012, Baltimore police attempted to plant crack cocaine on him during a search, but in 2022, he reached a $300,000 settlement with the city of Baltimore.  However, that isn’t the only experience Evans has had with law enforcement.

Recently, the 30-year-old was arrested for allegedly fleeing a traffic stop and assaulting a sheriff’s deputy. Kanye West referencing Moose by name came as a shock to many of his core fanbase.

One fan took to social media, writing, “Kanye shouting out Young Moose is insane! This should put a battery in every Baltimore artist’s back. You never know who’s watching/listening.” Another added, “Moose getting a shout-out from Kanye was the most random shit ever.”

Young Moose reacted to the praise himself and took to Instagram and saying: “This Sh¥t Bigger Than Lyfe! [battery emoji] Words From ¥esus Himself @ye [goat emoji] #Blessed @justinlaboy.”
