Kanye West album ‘Donda’ gets a new release date

Kanye West’s new album, Donda, has been given yet another new release date after it once again failed to materialise.

The original plan from Yeezy was to release Donda on July 23rd. Still, Kanye being Kanye, couldn’t resist tweaking further with the album and leaving fans to wear down the skin on their thumbs from relentlessly refreshing his page on Spotify. Three weeks on, and there is still no sign of the album despite two listening parties in Atlanta on the eve of both scheduled release dates.

Both events have been live-streamed by Apple, with the most recent taking place last Thursday before the album was expected to arrive on DSPs on Friday, yet, failed to emerge. In the wake of the no-show, a new release date has now been given to Donda.

Streaming platform iTunes is now stating that Donda will have a release date of August 13th. However, Apple Music meanwhile lists it for release on August 15th.

Whether Donda will arrive on streaming services on either of those dates remains up in the air. Who knows if Yeezy even knows when he intends to unleash his new record into the world.

Donda features collaborations with Jay-Z, Playboi Carti, The Weeknd, and many more star-studded names. Check out a clip from the listening party from the Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta from last week.
