K Michelle admits she was in love with R Kelly
K Michelle has admitted that she was in love with R Kelly.
The ‘Can’t Raise a Man’ singer has revealed that her relationship with the incarcerated artist went from professional to romantic.
During a recent appearance on The Jason Lee Show, Michelle confessed her love for a past version of him.
“If it wasn’t for Robert Kelly, I would not know the business,” she said. “I would not understand the skills of songwriting. I was in love with him.”
Michelle also stated that Kelly wasn’t abusive to her. “Rob didn’t hit me,” she said. “I didn’t go through an abusive Rob. I might have loved him, but he didn’t see me as nothing more as motivation for writing.”
Kelly is currently serving a 30-year sentence at FCI Butner Medium I in North Carolina after being found guilty of racketeering, sexual exploitation of a child, bribery, coercion, sex trafficking, and violating the Mann Act. He’s set for release on December 21st, 2045, when he will be 78 years old.
Michelle went on to claim that the children Kelly was convicted of abusing were let down by their mothers.
“What about all the mothers that was in the kitchen cooking?” she said. “There were mothers in the kitchen cooking. I’ve never lied.”
She clarified, “Robert is absolutely completely wrong in the things. But those people around him never corrected him. That’s not an excuse, because I am a woman advocate. If you tell me a man did something to you, ‘OK, we ride at dawn.’”
Michelle also suggested that she knows information that could land people behind bars. “If I talk, everybody is going to jail,” she said.
