Joyner Lucas enlists J. Cole for new single 'Your Heart'

‘I’m Not Racist’ rapper, Joyner Lucas, has enlisted the revered J. Cole for a new track called ‘Your Heart’. Co-produced by Palaze, LC and Hagan, it is a triumphant trap number, boasting shifting dynamics and a sub-bass that is sure to get you moving.

‘Your Heart’ comes as part of a busy year for Lucas. Recently, he dropped the well-received single ‘Dreams Unfold’ with Lil Tjay. Furthermore, his second album, Evolution, was released in October 2020. Only seven months prior to the release of Evolution, in March 2020, Lucas dropped his celebrated debut studio album ADHD. It featured the likes of Fabolous, Young Thug, Chris Brown, Logic, and Timbaland.

On the other hand, J. Cole’s most recent studio outing, The Off-Season was dropped to universal acclaim back in May this year. Additionally, earlier this week, he released the single ‘Heaven’s EP’, alongside a stellar video from Simon Chasalow. The track surprised fans as it was made using the beat of Drake’s recent hit ‘Pipe Down’. This makes the track with Joyner Lucas the second time in just one week that Cole has released new music.

In other news, Lucas got involved in a heavily publicised Twitter spat last week. He took to the social media platform to claim that the famous media marketing strategist Karen Civil stole $60,000 from him early on in his career. Lucas claimed that after he paid Civil to assist him with branding and marketing, she ghosted him.

“I was desperate for help and you knew that. After you was paid you went ghost and didn’t expect me to pop. Here I am,” he wrote on Twitter. “After you got the money paid upfront, you stopped answering my calls & every time I hit you, you answered the phone with an attitude like I was messing up your day.”

This is a developing story. However, listen to Lucas and J. Cole‘s brilliant track, ‘Your Heart’, below.
