Jay-Z accuses alleged secret son of harassment in court
For years, a man named Rymir Satterthwaite has claimed that he’s the secret son of Jay-Z. The Brooklyn rapper has now responded in court documents, accusing him of harassment.
Hov asked a federal judge to intervene and called his recent lawsuit against him “just the latest” in decades of allegations.
Documents obtained by US Weekly read, “The fabricated allegations and claims have been addressed – and rejected — in multiple other courts and [Satterthwaite’s] continued harassment of [Jay-Z] and disregard of those orders has already resulted in a contempt order.”
Jay claims he only found out about the lawsuit on June 3rd and has requested more time to file a response. His attorney said, “[Jay-Z] will be irreparably prejudiced without additional time to evaluate and prepare his response to the complaint.”
The lawyer claimed he contacted Satterthwaite’s caregiver for more time, but the call was hung up. Satterthwaite alleges Jay is attempting to silence him about being his father. His complaint read, “[Jay-Z] is the biological father of Satterthwaite.”
Satterthwaite says his late mother, Wanda, had sexual relations with Jay in the ’90s. He claims he’s received “unrelenting efforts by [Jay-Z] and his enablers to suppress the truth and silence those who dared to speak it.”
The lawsuit alleges Jay “exploited legal systems in multiple jurisdictions to suppress [Rymir’s] paternity claim and prevent legal accountability.” Satterthwaite claims Jay-Z has refused a DNA test, choosing “instead to obstruct and manipulate the legal process.”
The 31-year-old previously told the Daily Mail, “It is both heartbreaking and frustrating to see Mr Carter respond to allegations with such deflection and attacks. My late mother, Wanda, was just 16 years old when she became pregnant with me, and for years I have sought clarity about my identity.”
He added, “This is not about greed or spectacle—it’s about uncovering the truth and ensuring all parties are held accountable.”
