Jay-Z announces ‘Reasonable Doubt’ and ‘The Blueprint’ anniversary shows
Jay-Z has announced that he’ll be performing two anniversary shows this year.
On March 18th, the rapper’s entertainment company, Roc Nation, took to social media to reveal his concert plans.
Hov will perform two concerts at Yankee Stadium, the home of the New York Yankees and New York City FC, in the Bronx, New York City.
The first show will take place on July 10th, celebrating 30 years of his debut album Reasonable Doubt, which was released in 1996. Then, the following day, July 11th, he will celebrate 25 years of his classic album The Blueprint following its release in 2001.
In the announcement post, Roc Nation wrote, “Two historic nights to celebrate the iconic albums Reasonable Doubt and The Blueprint. Stay tuned.”
The news comes shortly after it was revealed that Jay-Z would be headlining the 2026 Roots Picnic in Philadelphia. Hov is set to perform at the festival in Belmont Plateau on March 30th, marking his first show in nine years.
Jay-Z released Reasonable Doubt on June 25th, 1996, with features from Biggie Smalls, Memphis Bleek, Mary J Blige, Jaz-O, and others. It debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 chart and is certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America
The Blueprint was released on September 11th, 2001, famously on the same day as the 9/11 attacks on the Twin Towers at the World Trade Center. It reached number one on the Billboard 200 with 427,000 units in its first week, with contributions from Eminem, Kanye West, Timbaland, Just Blaze, and more.
His last solo concert was in December 2017, performing in Inglewood, California, as part of his 4:44 Tour.
