Jay-Z ramps up attack on rape accuser’s lawyer Tony Buzbee

Brooklyn emcee Jay-Z has decided to ramp up the attack on his Jane Doe accuser and Tony Buzbee after his motion to get the case dismissed earlier this month proved unsuccessful.

The lawsuit, which was filed anonymously, alleges that Jay-Z and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs raped a 13-year-old girl in 2000. Tony Buzbee filed the case in October before amending it on December 8th to include Jay-Z’s name.

The unnamed plaintiff alleged that in 2000, she was driven to a VMAs afterparty hosted by Combs, where he and Jay-Z are alleged to have raped her. In response to these allegations, Jay has expressed anger on multiple occasions and has accused Texas-based lawyer Tony Buzbee of blackmail and extortion.

Although Jay’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, attempted to have the case dismissed on January 8th and failed, Spiro has now filed a memo with additional arguments claiming that Buzbee  “got basic facts wrong” in the complaint.

During an NBC interview with the anonymous accuser on December 13th, more details concerning the accusations were unveiled, and Spiro claimed that most of the stories did not make sense. During the interview, Doe asserted that her father picked her up from a gas station. However, in this new motion, Spiro noted that Doe’s father has said he has no recollection of such events. Furthermore, during the interview, Jay’s accuser alleges that to get to New York City, she made a 10-hour roundtrip drive from Rochester.

Not only has Spiro insisted that the father doesn’t remember such things, but he has also alleged that the timeline of events shows her arriving at the VMAs at a different time than what she alleged in the lawsuit.

Spiro wrote to the courts, “Mr. Carter seeks only to hold Mr. Buzbee to the ethical standards that constrain any responsible attorney who would solemnly sign his name to allegations in court.” The lawyer then argued that Tony Buzbee should face punitive measures for failing to certify Doe’s claims and knowingly filing a false claim.

Earlier this month, on January 8th, when Spiro first attempted to cast aspersions on Tony Buzbee, the Houston lawyer asserted that he “ran a background check on plaintiff and retained a retired police detective to research and confirm other aspects of plaintiff’s account.”

However, Spiro doubled down, alleging “[N]one of those individuals has even been named, let alone produced as a declarant,” adding, “Nor does the Opposition specify which ‘aspects’ of plaintiff’s complaint were ‘fact-checked.'”

Alex Spiro and Jay-Z are hoping that this new motion will be taken into consideration by the court. However, Buzbee has already responded to the filing and told HipHopDX, “With every frantic filing, the defence in this case grows more desperate. The rules apply equally to everyone, even those who wrongly think they are above the law. No one is above the law. The ‘basic fact’ that is obvious to everyone is that the defendant’s motion is frivolous.”
