Jacksonville rapper Ksoo pleads guilty to second murder after life sentence

Jacksonville rapper Ksoo has pleaded guilty to a second murder shortly after being sentenced to life in prison.

On February 23rd, the 23-year-old (real name Hakeem Robinson) admitted to killing 16-year-old Adrian ‘Lil Bibby’ Gainer Jr at the Hilltop Village apartments on February 25th, 2019.

According to News4Jax, Ksoo pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Bibby died at the scene of the crime, with his body found in the parking lot of the apartment complex following a 911 call.

In a statement, city councilwoman Ju’Coby Pittman said, “A 16-year-old to get off the bus, to come visit a relative and be shot in broad daylight? I have a problem with that. Everyone in this community, we are sick and tired of every time that you turn on the television, that there is a loss of a life. I want to say that we are behind this family.”

Ksoo was hit with a life-long prison sentence in October 2025 for the murder of 23-year-old Charles ‘Lil Buck’ McCormick Jr in 2020. He was charged with first-degree murder without the possibility of parole.

His lawyer, Christopher Decoste, revealed that the rapper planned to appeal the conviction. “In Jackson-vile, Ksoo was sentenced on lies and deals – not evidence,” he said. “The video shows it’s not him. The fight continues. We will appeal.”

His cousin, Leroy Whitaker Jr, was also sentenced to life behind bars on the same charges. Ksoo’s father, Abdul Robinson Sr, was sentenced to time served in November after testifying against his son.

The rapper has 325,000 Instagram followers. He released his last album, Violent Child, in 2020, with his biggest song, ‘Ksoo Bitch’, racking up 11 million YouTube views.
