Ice Cube's son thinks Drake just forfeited his beef with Kendrick Lamar

Ice Cube’s son, O’Shea Jackson Jr, has recently commented on the feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. The two have been exchanging diss records since Lamar dropped ‘Euphoria’ and, in the span of 36 hours, three more diss songs have been released.

Drake (real name Aubrey Graham) responded to ‘Euphoria’ with his track, ‘Family Matters’. He proceeded to release another song entitled ‘The Heart Part 6’. However, many hip-hop fans are not impressed and have given Lamar the win.

Graham had to prompt Kendrick to respond to him with an A.I. diss track entitled ‘Taylor Made Freestyle’, which featured artificially generated vocals from West Coast legends 2Pac and Snoop Dogg.

Taking to X/Twitter to comment on the battle, Ice Cube’s son, O’Shea Jackson Jr, commented on the feud, writing, “Wait. Did he just lowkey say he done with this?….” The lyrics of ‘The Heart Part 6’ suggest that Drake may have thrown in the towel.

Speaking about the battle in the past tense, Drake stated, “I’m not gonna lie, this shit was some, some good exercise / Like it’s good to get out, get the pen workin’.” He then proceeded to explain how Lamar could release lots more records but insinuated he would not reply, saying, “You could drop a hundred more records. I’ll see you later.”

Jackson’s theory seems correct as on ‘Family Matters’, Drake raps about going on vacation even during the height of this battle, rhyming, “I’m goin’ on vacation now, hope next time y’all plan it right / Cause you gotta pay for sayin’ my name, guess now n**gas understand the price.”

Since the release of Drake’s diss track ‘Push Ups (Drop & Give Me Fifty)’ many have implied that Drake is losing his fight with Lamar. Kanye West even called the feud an “elimination.” Although many fans want the battle to continue,  it appears we may very well be looking at the end.
