Travis Scott's collaboration with Dior has been postponed following Astroworld tragedy

Following the tragic events at Travis Scott’s Astroworld event, Dior has postponed their collaboration with the rap superstar.

A crowd crush at the festival, which he organised, left ten fans dead, and Scott has been under immense scrutiny over how he dealt with the disaster. Additionally, the rapper is the subject of over 2,000 lawsuits from those left with injuries and the families of the ten deceased attendees.

“I’ve been on different types of emotions, an emotional rollercoaster, I mean,” the rapper told Charlamagne when breaking his silence on the event. “It gets so hard because, you know, I always feel connected with my fans. I went through something and I feel like fans went through something and people’s parents went through something.

“And it really hurts. It hurts the community, it hurts the city. There’s been a lot of thoughts, a lot of feelings, a lot of grieving, and just trying to wrap my head around it.”

The tragedy has seen a host of lawsuits land on Scott’s desk as well as an apparent snub from Coachella. Now, it would seem, Dior are also re-thinking their promotional activity with the Houston performer as the two parties agree to a postponement of their project.

Speaking with Women’s Wear Daily, representatives for Dior wrote: “Out of respect for everyone affected by the tragic events at Astroworld, Dior has decided to postpone indefinitely the launch of products from the Cactus Jack collaboration originally intended to be included in its summer 2022 collection.”

According to People, the decision to postpone the release was a mutual agreement.
