Hulk Hogan slates Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl performance: “I couldn’t understand a word”

Hulk Hogan has criticised Kendrick Lamar‘s Super Bowl halftime show last weekend. The retired professional wrestler, a prominent Donald Trump supporter, appeared on the Jesse Watters Primetime show on Fox News this week, voicing his dislike of K. Dot’s performance.

The 71-year-old WWE star claimed he couldn’t understand what Kendrick was saying and didn’t know what was happening throughout the show.

“Bro, I couldn’t understand a word that was being said, man,” he said. “I had my volume turned up. I had a bunch of people yelling and screaming at the house, and I really didn’t know what was going on, man. I was waiting for Willie Nelson to come out, man, and sing ‘America the Beautiful’ or something.”

Hogan wasn’t the only conservative to bash Kendrick’s performance. Congressman Matt Gaetz wrote on X, “The halftime show you just watched is clearly the regime’s response to Trump’s historic gains with black men.” Meanwhile, Colorado representative Lauren Boebert wrote, “Tell me I’m not the only one needing subtitles for this!!”

Kendrick’s halftime show saw him target Drake amid their beef and bring out SZA for a couple of songs. In addition to performing ‘Not Like Us‘, other special guests included Samuel L Jackson, Serena Williams, and Mustard.

Oasis member Noel Gallagher, who has a history of criticising rappers, also shared harsh words for Kendrick. “I had to switch it off. It was absolute nonsense. I didn’t watch it all, I just switched it off,” he told TalkSPORT. “There was like 300 people getting out of a car in the first two minutes. I don’t like the halftime nonsense and all that, it’s usually artists that I don’t like. I never watch it. I’m not interested in it.”

On the other hand, Kanye West said it was one of the most impressive halftime shows he’d ever seen. “I really loved the show,” he said. “It was my favourite halftime show since the Michael Jackson era, which I kinda just barely remember, I just seen clips of it. It was super simple, the flag was fresh. When they did [‘HUMBLE’], the way that people’s heads were moving, I was shook. This is super fresh. The man’s voice control, all that.”
