Gunna makes first public appearance since release from prison

The 29-year-old rapper Gunna has made his first public appearance since his release from prison. The controversial figure was recently spotted at a basketball game.

Gunna recently took a plea deal in the ongoing YSL RICO case. He was one of 28 associates of the YSL label arrested on charges related to the ‘Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act’. This act essentially says that the organisation operates as a criminal gang.

“While I have agreed to always be truthful, I want to make it perfectly clear that I have NOT made any statements, have NOT been interviewed, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or be a witness for or against any party in the case and have absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial process in any way,” Gunna told WSB-TV following his apparent plea deal.

Continuing: “My focus of YSL was entertainment — rap artists who wrote and performed music that exaggerated and ‘glorified’ urban life in the Black community.”

Since then, he has not been seen in public. However, on he was sat courtside with Nechie at game six of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat on Sunday 28th, May. This sparked backlash from fans who claim that he “snitched” on Young Thug.

Gunna has denied this and has publicly called for his fellow YSL labelmate to be freed.
