Ghostface Killah reveals all-star tracklist for ‘Supreme Clientele 2’
Ghostface Killah is scheduled to release his new album Supreme Clientele 2 on August 22nd. Ahead of its release this week, he’s shared the tracklist for the project.
The Wu-Tang Clan MC’s upcoming LP comprises 22 tracks with features from Nas, Raekwon, GZA, Method Man, Styles P, Conway The Machine, M.O.P., and others. Redman also makes an appearance on the intro.
In an Instagram post, Ghostface wrote, “Talk is Pork !!!! …the line up speaks for itself. Friday is my Day …. Supreme 2 GHOST DAY !”
Supreme Clientele 2 serves as the sequel to his second solo album, released in 2000. In a statement, Ghostface said, “Supreme Clientele was a frame of mind and era in time. You could never duplicate that feeling, but you can tap back in. We dug in the files from years ago and pulled together a Clientele that is Supreme! Get ready: Supreme Clientele 2 is now.”
Ghostface recently revealed that he’s been working on some of the songs for almost 20 years. “Every track is jewellery. It’s rare pieces of art,” he told Rolling Stone. “It’s vintage, but it sounds spanking new when you catch it.
“I think with that right there, we going to stamp hip-hop from what my generation know it is, know it to be, and just put the nail in the coffin with that. I don’t think there might ever be one of those kinds of records [again].”
Supreme Clientele is considered a classic hip-hop album. It featured the popular single ‘Mighty Healthy’ and included appearances from Wu-Tang affiliates RZA, Raekwon, U-God, and Masta Killa.
