French Montana’s private jet searched for drugs in Colombia

It has been reported that Bronx rapper French Montana has had his private jet searched for drugs in Colombia. The artist was recently at the behest of Colombian law enforcement officials and instantly called them out on social media.

On October 31st, the ‘Wish U Well’ emcee flew from California to Colombia but had a run-in with police in a city southwest of Bogotá, the country’s capital.

It is thought that he was under suspicion of trafficking narcotics illegally into the South American country. However, it has yet to be confirmed.

Taking to Instagram while on the landing strip tarmac, Montana proclaimed, “Columbia, I love ya’ll! But ya’ll ain’t have to do me like this. I ain’t have to have them dogs in there like that. Know we coke boys, but you ain’t coke boys for that. Streets is so fucked up, they thought I was bringing a big load.”

The video boasted a caption reading: “TRAPPED IN COLOMBIA [Columbian flag emoji] ! THEY THOUGHT I WAS BRINGING BACK THE BIG LOAD !! #cokeboys.” The lyricist seemed unphased by the situation, as he most likely had nothing to hide. However, there was a slight frustration.

Unfortunately, some rappers have been found guilty of committing such crimes in the past. Earlier this year, Fetty Wap was sentenced to six years in prison for his role in running a domestic drug ring out of Long Island.

He pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine, and prosecutors accused the New Jersey artist of “glamorizing the drug trade” and profiting off it following the release of his hit single “Trap Queen” in 2015.
