Finesse2tymes has been arrested on several drug charges. The Memphis rapper (real name Ricky Hampton) was brought into the Harris County, Texas Sheriff’s Office on October 20th.
The 33-year-old was booked on eight charges, including marijuana possession and possession of a controlled substance, prohibited substance in a correctional facility, possession of a dangerous drug, and tampering/fabricating physical evidence.
According to TMZ, he was released from Harris County Jail on October 21st. The rapper confirmed his release on his Instagram Stories, revealing that he had posted a $14,155 bond.
Finesse2tymes was previously arrested on gun and drug charges in September. He was detained alongside his girlfriend and the mother of his child, FNG Shugga.
While driving his red Corvette, police officers pulled over Finesse for not wearing a seatbelt. Officers then smelled marijuana and saw a hand-rolled cigar in the ashtray.
Shugga could be seen grabbing a bag from the floorboard, which was found to contain 0.7 ounces of marijuana, 12 oxycodone pills, and seven methylphenidate pills.
Shortly after posting bail, Finesse2tymes took to Instagram Stories to reflect on his constant legal troubles over the years.
“People wonder why I talk about jail so much, it’s because when I’m performing that’s all I can remember, and rather I make it further or not compared to what I HAD I can’t lose,” he wrote. “I have learned to accept the things that I cannot change, the courage to change the things that I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.”
He released his latest single, ‘Loyalty Ova Love‘, on October 10th via Atlantic Records, which has over 1.3 million YouTube views and 222,000 streams on Spotify.
