Fat Joe set to release new album this summer

The rap veteran Fat Joe has confirmed that he will return this year as he reveals plans to release a brand new album. He has confirmed that the LP is only a few weeks away from going live, much to the excitement of hip hop fans everywhere.

The 53-year-old MC hasn’t been out of the game long, though, given his most recent album was released in 2021. He said the year after that he didn’t plan on releasing new material anytime soon, but we can now expect an album from him in August.

On July 10th, a reporter from TMZ spoke to Terror Squad. A large part of the conversation was dominated by talk about peers who continue releasing music, such as Nas, DJ Premiere, Common, Pete Rock, and LL Cool J. During the conversation, he revealed that Fat Joe would be releasing a new record: “Breaking news: Fat Joe be dropping a[n] album in August, too, so put me in that list of pioneers and legends and icons.”

Joey Crack and E-40, recently appeared at a Joe Biden rally. The two of them performed the day after the Democrat had debated Donald Trump. One of the officials working on behalf of Biden spoke about the rappers, saying they were “Legends of the music industry, who understand the importance of utilising their platforms to ensure their fan base understands the stakes of this election.”

Fat Joe also has got involved in politics. Earlier this year, the New York City native met with Vice President Kamala Harris to discuss the legal repercussions of marijuana possession. In March, he had a behind-closed-doors meeting with Harris, Kentucky governor Andy Beshear, and other people who had been pardoned for previous weed-related convictions.

Harris said, “The issue is stark when one considers the fact that on the schedule currently, marijuana is considered as dangerous as heroin.” She continued, “Marijuana is considered as dangerous as heroin and more dangerous than fentanyl, which is absurd. Not to mention patently unfair.”

While Fat Joe’s new album has no set release date, fans can expect it around August.
