Eminem lyrics predict the rise of Drake

Since the release of For All The Dogs, Drake has been the culture’s focus and received high amounts of praise from critics. Various hip-hop publications have now made their minds up about the emcee’s latest project, and many have rated it above LPs, such as Certified Lover Boy and Scorpion.

Although the magazines have praised the Canadian singer and rapper (real name Aubrey Graham), several artists and online trolls have called out the album. However, while onlookers watch the reaction to this new body of work, some remember a set of Eminem lyrics that seemed to predict this outcome.

In 2020, Eminem (real name Marshall Mathers) released his album Music To Be Murdered By. However, following its release, the Detroit artist released a B-side to the album, which features a track entitled ‘Zeus’.

Droves of fans are sure the lyrics of ‘Zeus’ predicted the rise and fall of Drake. On the song, Mathers raps, “And Drake, they’re gonna turn on you / One day too, and the more you win, the sooner they do / They’ll be calling you a trash bin, Sayin’ that your new one isn’t better than your last.”

DJ Akamdemiks posted the song to TikTok and questioned fans whether or not Eminem was talking about Graham. In the comment section, one user wrote, “We need to talk about hip-hop culture and why we treat our legends this way!”

However, another user posted a comment stating that the two artists are different and insisted Eminem’s music got worse, writing, This Drake project is a classic, and people turned on Eminem because he continued to get wacker instead of better.”

Eminem is paying a lot of attention to new music and even took to Twiiter/X to comment on Lil Wayne’s latest track featuring Tyga and YG. You can see DJ Akademiks’ post about Eminem below.
