Eminem’s ex-wife Kim reportedly attempts suicide at Michigan home
Eminem‘s ex-wife, Kim Scott, reportedly attempted suicide over the weekend.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Kim was rushed to the hospital with uncontrolled bleeding on July 11th.
Now, TMZ reports that the 51-year-old attempted to commit suicide at her home in Chesterfield, Michigan.
A 911 call was obtained from her house, which revealed the dispatcher telling emergency services that they needed to attend her address for a “suicide attempt.”
Quoting the caller, the dispatcher said that their aunt had cut her wrist with a knife. After paramedics arrived at her home, Kim was taken to the local McLaren Macomb Hospital in an ambulance.
The Chesterfield County Fire and EMS received an emergency call at around 8pm for someone who was “unconscious/fainting,” with the incident type listed as “hemorrhage/laceration.” She suffered “heavy and uncontrolled bleeding” during the incident, according to a report from Page Six.
Eminem married Kim in 1999 and 2006, before divorcing in 2007; their daughter, Hailie Jade Scott, was born in 1995. The rapper’s many songs about her include ‘Searchin’, ’97 Bonnie and Clyde’, ‘Kim’, and ‘Puke’.
The suicide attempt comes after Kim pleaded no contest to a hit-and-run crash in February, having been charged with operating while impaired and failing to report an accident after allegedly hitting a parked car and refusing to stop.
She reportedly then crashed into her garage door after attempting to pull into her driveway, while children were inside the vehicle.
Shortly after the plea, Kim was arrested once again and taken to Macomb County Jail in Mt Clemens, Michigan, on a suspected driving under the influence charge. She was accused of hitting a parked car in the 21 Mile Zone near Detroit.
