Eminem’s ex-wife Kim arrested over another drink-driving crash
Eminem‘s ex-wife, Kim Scott, has been arrested once again over another drink-driving crash.
The 51-year-old was taken to Macomb County Jail in M Clemens, Michigan, on May 14th on a suspected driving under the influence charge.
According to TMZ, Chesterfield Township Police Department Detective Sergeant Joseph Feld claims Kim hit a parked car in the 21 Mile Zone near Detroit at around 9:20pm on May 13th.
The incident comes just days after Kim pleaded no contest to a hit-and-run crash earlier this year.
In that incident, Kim reportedly hit another car and crashed into her garage with children inside the vehicle, resulting in charges of operating while impaired and failing to report an accident.
Kim appeared in a Michigan courtroom on May 11th and pleaded no contest to both of the charges, and will find out her sentencing in June.
The crash reportedly took place on February 16th when Kim was taking her son and his three friends shopping. Kim allegedly hit a parked car and refused to stop. As she continued driving, she tried to pull into her driveway, but crashed into the garage door.
Her neighbour called the police, and she was taken to the hospital for injuries, before being discharged on February 17th.
Kim told officers that she had drunk two margaritas prior to the incident. Speaking to the police, she appeared to have “glossy eyes, slurred/slowed speech, and lethargic demeanour.”
An officer “observed a strong odour of alcoholic intoxicants emitting from her person/breath,” with a breathalyser test returning her BAC as 0.079 per cent. They also found an empty Crown Royal Apple whiskey bottle in her car, as well as a root beer can filled with alcohol.
