Drakeo the Ruler’s mother plans to file lawsuit over his death

Drakeo the Ruler’s mother has stated her intentions to file a lawsuit over her son’s death at The Once Upon A Time In LA Festival.

The rapper was killed backstage at the event after reportedly being stabbed in the neck. After the attack, Drakeo was hospitalised but was sadly declared dead the following day. In light of the incident, the festival was halted with Snoop Dogg not taking to the stage.

His mother, Darrylene Corniel, has now vied to fight for “justice” for Drakeo. She told Rolling Stone, “I need this to be out there. I need people to know. And I do want justice for my son. And I do believe that justice will be served. I will not rest until justice is served.”

Corniel also expressed her fears about the security measures at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles’ Exposition Park. “This happened backstage at an event. Someone has to be held accountable,” she added.

Rolling Stone said the stabbing took place backstage where there should have been a metal detector and a screening area. Corniel continued, “They let all these people in, and you’re not supposed to have all these people backstage. And your security is supposed to be in place.

“The whole program should have been orchestrated a lot better than what it was. And there should have been more protection. Even if you have metal detectors, even if you pat them down, you let those people come in there. You had more people come in than you were supposed to. And you allowed them to jump my son. You didn’t protect my son.”

Police are still searching for the person who committed the stabbing. “Detectives are still trying to figure things out,” Luis Garcia, an LAPD spokesperson, told the LA Times.
