Rapper Drakeo The Ruler has reportedly been killed at The Once Upon A Time In LA Festival.

The 28-year-old was booked to appear on the bill alongside Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, and Ice Cube but lost his life during an altercation backstage. Drakeo released his debut album earlier this year after sharing ten mixtapes between 2015 and 2021.

It is alleged that an incident occurred behind the scenes at the festival, and Drakeo’s injuries proved to be fatal. The news was broken by journalist Jeff Weiss, who tweeted, “The Once Upon A Time In LA Fest is ending early. All performances are now over. Please head to the closest exit and head eastbound on MLK.”

The festival came to an end after news swirled about Drakeo’s death, and headliner Snoop Dogg paid his tribute to the late rapper. He wrote, “I’m saddened by the events that took place last night at the Once Upon a Time in LA festival.

“My condolences go out to the family and loved ones of Drakeo the Ruler,” he continued. “Last night I was in my dressing room when I was informed about the incident and chose to immediately leave the festival grounds. My prayers go out to everyone affected by the tragedy.”

Meanwhile, Drake paid tribute on his Instagram Stories and wrote, “Nah man this sh*t isn’t right for real wtf are we doing 😔😔😔 always picked my spirit up with your energy RIP Drakeo 🤞🏽”
