Drake to headline all three nights of 2025 Wireless Festival
For the first time, one artist is set to headline all three nights at Wireless Festival. Drake has been recruited to perform the closing set across the entire weekend of the London event to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
Wireless announced the major news on February 16th, revealing the poster with a taste of some of the special guests. “For the first time ever, one artist, three different setlists,” the festival wrote alongside the names.
On Friday, Drake will perform alongside PARTYNEXDOOR with special guest Summer Walker. On Saturday, he will perform with “the mandem,” and on Sunday, he will be on his own with special guests Burna Boy and Vybz Kartel. The mandem, a British slang term, could indicate that Drake is bringing out UK affiliates such as Skepta, Dave, Giggs, and Central Cee.
A spokesperson for the festival said, “His Finsbury Park residency marks a groundbreaking moment never before seen at Wireless. Holding the title for the audience’s most requested artist since the festival’s inception, his presence will be a milestone, further solidifying his legacy in Wireless’ story.”
Rockstar Energy Drink is presenting the festival, which will take place between July 11th and July 13th in Finsbury Park. The full lineup for the festival has yet to be announced. The Three customer presale begins at midday on February 17th, while the Wireless pre-sale starts at midday on February 18th. General sale tickets will go on sale at midday on February 19th.
Wireless Festival will be Drake’s first UK performance in six years. He first headlined the festival in 2012 and has also performed in 2015 and 2018.
The announcement comes just days after releasing his new album. Some Sexy Songs 4 U, a collaborative album with PARTYNEXTDOOR, dropped on February 14th. The project includes 21 new songs from the Toronto duo and should serve as the basis of the setlist during the Friday night headline slot at Wireless.
Last year’s Wireless Festival was headlined by Nicki Minaj, 21 Savage, J Hus and Doja Cat. Other performers included Future, Ice Spice, Gunna, Don Toliver, Sean Paul, Rema, Asake and Skillibeng.
