Drake suggests that he had interaction with Swedish police

Rapper Drake has suggested that he might have had an interaction with the Swedish police after all, following the rumours last week that the Toronto native had been taken into custody by Stockholm police at a nightclub.

The speculation arose after XXL claimed that Drake and some of his security were arrested. The publication also reported that “free Drake” was trending on Twitter. At the time though, a representative for the rapper denied all the rumours, claiming they were false.

However, now there has been a new twist in the story. In a new post on Instagram, Drake has appeared to imply that he did have some form of encounter with the Swedish police.

He shared a series of photos, and one of them was of a document from the Swedish National Police Board, entitled “Information for Those Suspected of a Crime and Subsequently Detained.” It explains a detainee’s rights, which some fans have suggested are similar to the Miranda Rights in the US.

They included being fully aware of “what it is you are suspected of and why you are being denied” and receiving “the aid of a defence attorney who under certain conditions can only be paid by the state.”

It also states that “an interrogation will be held with you as soon as possible” and “if the prosecutor requests a court trial, you will be notified of this at once”.

Drake’s representatives are yet to comment on the matter.

Despite his alleged troubles in Sweden, last week was a particularly busy one for Drake. At the weekend, he made a surprise appearance with Honestly, Nevermind producer Black Coffee at his show at the famous Ibiza nightclub, Hï.

Furthermore, he also announced the introductory trio events of his for his new concert series ‘October World Weekend’, which is to precede the global rollout of his festival, OVO Fest. The lineup includes heavyweights such as Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, and many more.
