Drake fires at Charlamagne Tha God in recent post

Charlamagne Tha God is one of hip-hop’s biggest trolls and, akin to DJ Akademiks, is constantly stirring up controversy with his harsh critiques and opinions. However, Drake did not care for his recent criticism of ‘Slime You Out’.

Drake’s single ‘Slime You Out’ featuring contemporary R’n’B singer SZA, was the last of a series of singles the musician has been releasing ahead of his forthcoming alum For All The Dogs. However, radio host Charlamagne Tha God was not too keen on the track and made it known.

In a recent appearance on the Brilliant Idiots podcast, the Breakfast Club personality insisted that “nobody cared” about the track and insinuated that the song didn’t move the needle in any way.

Critiquing the record and its release, Charlamagne told the podcast hosts, “Drake put out this record Friday and people just getting to the lyrics on a Monday? That’s not Drake-like! He’s gonna be fine regardless. I just think that it’s also — you look at the album cover, you hear the title For All The Dogs, I think that we was looking for something a little more harder, a little bit more aggressive.”

However, in response to the radio host, Drake to Instagram writing, “Are you ok Lenard?? You kinda weirding me out g. Like you really obsessed with me or something for years like you look in the mirror and wish you saw my reflection type shit…whatever you gotta do to let it out I’m sure your 435 loyal fans will stand by you ya fucking goof.”

Drake and Charlamagne have been feuding for years, and it seems Drake pays a lot of attention to his comments. During an appearance on another podcast, Charlamagne (real name Lenard McKelvey) responded to the rapper, stating, “Drake and I plan this out every time he drops an album. I’m part of the album rollout. He drops a record, I critique it, it brings more attention to the record, more attention to the project.”

Mocking Drake, he finalised, “I keep telling Drake he doesn’t need me to do that. He’s Drake. But for whatever reason, he wants me to do it, so I obliged.” The radio personality admitted its mostly innocent and that there’s no hate between the two.
