Drake confirms 'Certified Lover Boy' will be released this week

Drake has confirmed that his new album, Certified Lover Boy, will be dropping this Friday on September 3.

There has been a wealth of speculation surrounding the record’s release for what feels like an eternity, and now Drizzy is finally ready to share it with the world. Following his recent reignited beef with Kanye West, CLB offers him the chance to one-up his rival, who shared Donda on Sunday.

The Canadian rapper hinted at the release during an unusual clip that took over ESPN’s Sports Center that appeared to confirm Certified Lover Boy will arrive next week. It showed a man holding a sign that read: “CLB September 3”.

Drake’s team even claimed to Rolling Stone that the video that seemingly ‘hi-jacked’ the famed sports show could be taken “at face value”.

Now, he’s taken to Instagram to share emojis of multiple pregnant women and captioned the post, “CERTIFIED LOVER BOY SEPTEMBER 3”.

Initially, the scheduled release date for the album was January this year, but CLB was postponed after he suffered an operation last year on his knee.

Speaking with battle rap league URLTV at their NOMEXI event in June, Drake confirmed the album is due before the end of summer, and he’s just about stayed true to his word.
