Drake blames battle with Covid-19 for his heart-shaped hairline growing in 'weird'

Drake has blamed his bout of Covid-19 for the reason that his heart-shaped hairline has grown in ‘weird’.

Drizzy has previously not discussed his battle with the viral infection, but after a fan criticised his hairline in the comments of an Instagram post, he explained how the illness affected his trim. Last year, he first debuted the unique style in anticipation of his new album Certified Lover Boy and is still rocking it.

A fan account on Instagram posted two photos of Drake in the studio side-by-side, one from when he first got the haircut, and now an updated image where the heart shape is barely visible.

“That heart is stressed,” the fan post was captioned. In response, Drizzy commented, “I had Covid that shit grew in weird I had to start again. It’s coming back don’t diss.”

Fans are still agonisingly waiting to hear Drake’s long-awaited new album, Certified Lover Boy. The new project will be Drizzy’s first LP since 2018’s Scorpion, which is a long time in Drake years, and the clock is still ticking.

The scheduled release date was January this year; however, a knee operation would postpone it. In late July, the rapper popped into Sound 42’s Fri Yiy Friyay radio show to give the latest news on the LP.

“Album’s ready… album’s cooked, looking forward to delivering it to you,” he said. “Certified Lover Boy on the way and that’s for anyone in the way.”
