Donald Trump snubs Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs pardon amid New Jersey prison sentence
President Donald Trump has refused to pardon Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs once again.
Combs is currently serving a 50-month sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey after being found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
According to CBS News, Trump was “privately discussing” the possibility of pardoning the Bad Boy rapper last week.
On July 3rd, the president was scheduled to have a meeting with advisers on the topic of pardons. However, 11 people were pardoned, and Combs wasn’t one of them.
50 Cent reacted to the news about Combs not being pardoned, claiming he brought it on himself.
“LOL YOU SEE HOW THE WORLD WORKS,” he wrote on Instagram. “You shouldn’t such nasty things about people.”
Combs has spoken out against Trump in the past. On one occasion, he said, “If Trump gets elected, I really do believe in my heart there will be a race war. That’s why this message is not just to Black people. This message is to everybody. This man is really trying to turn us against each other and put us in a situation. America really messed up.”
Trump has rejected Combs’ pardon request in the past after acknowledging the rapper’s negative comments about him.
“When I ran for office, he was very hostile,” he said. “It’s hard, you know? We’re human beings. And we don’t like to have things cloud our judgment, right? But when you knew someone and you were fine, and then you run for office, and he made some terrible statements. So I don’t know. It makes it more difficult to do.”
