DJ Akademiks claims Drake fed Kendrick Lamar fake information

DJ Akademiks has been at the forefront of commentary on the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef. In fact, the podcaster has been in regular contact with the For All The Dogs emcee. However, in a recent stream on Rumble, the commentator turned on the Toronto native, claiming he fed false information to Lamar for the feud.

According to Akademiks (real name Allen Livingston), Drake gave stolen goods and fake information to Lamar’s affiliates behind the scenes to ensure he was one step ahead of the Compton native in the feud.

Speaking on his Rumble channel over the weekend, Akademiks told his followers that the cover art of Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Meet the Grahams’, which depicted Ozempic pills allegedly belonging to Drake, were stolen in a set-up. Furthermore, he claimed it was Drizzy who began rumouring he had a daughter, which proved not to be true.

Delving into the details of the Ozempic pills for his fans, Livingston explained, “I think Drake knew these things were stolen. It does look like some stolen shit.”

Akademiks then proceeded to speak about the “daughter” claims, stating, “Drake did know that they were stolen, so I don’t know if he’s trying to reverse psychology it. When Drake said he set it up, I’m taking that to be the 11-year-old daughter thing.”

He continued, “Because from everybody I’ve talked to, including Drake, we can’t even see where this came from, and Kendrick said it so definitively in what was supposed to be his biggest song. That was supposed to be the biggest exposé.”

On his diss song, ‘Family Matters’ Drake (real name Aubrey Graham) insisted that he did feed Kendrick and his entourage false information to stump him, rapping, “We plotted for a week, and then we fed you the information / A daughter that’s 11 years old, I bet he takes it / We thought about givin’ a fake name or a destination / But you so thirsty, you not concerned with investigation.”

On the song which gives an in-depth explanation of his tactics, Drake makes fun of how easy it was to trick Lamar into saying things he knew weren’t true, rhyming, “Instead you in that Venice studio, it’s a celebration / You gotta learn to fact-check things and be less impatient / Your fans are rejoicin’, thinkin’ this is my expiration / Even the picture you used, the jokes and the medication / The Maybach glove and the drug he use is for less inflation / Master manipulator, you bit on the speculation.”

However, Akademiks didn’t side with Drake during his stream. He stated that Drizzy lied just as much in his records as Kendrick did and insisted that neither provided any evidence to back up their claims. Explaining this, the podcaster concluded his stream, exclaiming, “I think both of these guys put their fair share of lies in there too in the battle. Drake doesn’t have a kid, Kendrick lied. Kendrick’s kid isn’t Dave Free’s. Drake lied. So there’s lies all in this.”

You can hear Akademiks explaining the alleged lies in the video below.
