Diddy’s ex-girlfriend describes “manipulation” to court during trial

A former girlfriend of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has told the court in his ongoing criminal trial that “manipulation” was a basis in the pair’s relationship. The ex-partner commented, “I couldn’t say no.”

The ex-partner, referred to under the pseudonym ‘Jane’ to protect her anonymity, also provided testimony to the court over six days – the longest anyone has given evidence in the trial so far – detailing her relationship with Combs until his arrest in September 2024, when he was accused of sexual abuse, racketeering, and trafficking.

‘Jane’ described her partnership with the former hip-hop mogul as alternating between “love bombing” and sexual exploitation”. Later adding: “I resent him for knowing how much I loved him and for knowing I couldn’t say no to him.”

Testimony given by ‘Jane’ will form part of the evidence for Combs’ charge of sex trafficking, in which his ex-partner, Cassie Ventura, who spearheaded the case, is also involved.

‘Jane’ said her relationship with Combs began in 2021, soon after which he started making her come to “hotel nights” with him, in which he would allegedly force her to take drugs, be covered in baby oil, and have sex with a series of “entertainers” for between 12 and 30 hours at a time.

Combs is charged with five counts of sexual abuse, trafficking, and racketeering in this current criminal trial in New York, which he has pleaded not guilty to. He is also accused in over 70 civil cases for similar charges.

He denies all the allegations against him. If found guilty in the trial upon its conclusion, he could face the rest of his life in prison.
