Woman recalls Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs allegedly shooting her in the face: “I was certain I was going to be dead”
Natania Griffin, previously known as Natania Reuben, has recalled the moment Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs allegedly shot her in the face. Griffin claims the Bad Boy rapper shot her during an incident with Moses ‘Shyne’ Barrow at a nightclub in 1999.
In the Fall of Diddy documentary series, she alleges that she watched Combs and Barrow reach towards firearms on their waists as they were leaving Club New York. Griffin says she saw a “muzzle flash” before feeling pain from her facial injury.
“I was certain that I was going to be dead at that moment because I didn’t think a human could lose that much blood and still be alive,” she said before breaking into tears. “I just knew my life was never going to be the same again.”
Shyne spent ten years in prison as a result of the shooting that left three people injured, being convicted of assault and unlawful possession of a weapon. “I was absolutely set up to be the fall guy,” he said in Hulu’s The Honorable Shyne documentary.
“One of the most difficult parts of it, was watching everybody succeed. I spent ten years in prison, but I was able to move on. There’s a time to pivot, there’s a time to transition, and that’s how I got into politics.”
In response to The Fall of Diddy producers’ request for comment, Combs’ representatives said, “Mr. Combs has full confidence in the facts and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: that the accusations against Mr. Combs are pure fiction.”
Speaking to the Daily Mail last week, Combs’ legal team said, “The producers failed to provide sufficient time or details for his representatives to address unsubstantiated claims, many from unidentified participants whose allegations lack context.
“By withholding this information, they made it impossible for Mr. Combs to present facts to counter these fabricated accusations. This production is clearly intended to present a one-sided and prejudicial narrative.”
The statement concluded, “As we’ve said before, Mr. Combs cannot respond to every publicity stunt or facially ridiculous claim. He has full confidence in the facts and the judicial process, where the truth will prevail: the accusations against him are pure fiction.”
