Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs jealous of Luigi Mangione’s attention in prison, new report alleges
Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs is currently incarcerated in the same prison as Luigi Mangione, the man accused of killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. According to reports, the Bad Boy boss is jealous of the attention he’s been getting since being put inside the same federal prison.
Combs and Mangione are both awaiting trial at the Metropolitan Center in Brooklyn, New York, but the rapper has allegedly been showing uncontrolled anger as a result of his “hero” status behind bars.
“Diddy has been throwing tantrums over the fact that Luigi is getting all of the attention in prison and is being revered as a hero after literally murdering someone on camera,” a source told the Daily Mail, adding that he’s upset about getting “so much hate inside the lock-up while Luigi gets so much love.”
Not only are they in the same prison, but Combs is represented by a lawyer named Marc Agnifilo, the husband of Karen Agnifilo, who represents Mangione. CNN reported that he was working with his wife on the Mangione case.
The source continued, “Even in prison, Diddy’s ego is bigger than life. Not to mention the fact that the prison itself faces constant allegations of inadequate healthcare to those who are locked up. Diddy has not had any contact with Luigi Mangione despite sharing the same legal team. They do not spend time together and the two really have zero in common.”
The reports of jealousy align with comments from someone who worked with Combs between 2002 and 2004. A man named Mr Shuter claimed he was obsessed with power and used his parties to remain popular in the entertainment industry. Shuter said his job was to help keep Combs at the top, describing the rapper as the “ringmaster” who loved to show off his lifestyle and have his photo taken.
“He was just figuring out that how he could get the most attention was to become the party king of New York,” he told the BBC. “The reason he was such a superstar is because all he thinks about is Diddy. From the minute he wakes up until the minute he goes to bed.”
Combs is facing charges of racketeering, sex trafficking by force and transportation for purposes of prostitution, while Mangione is facing 11 state criminal counts, including first-degree murder and murder as a crime of terrorism, which could result in life in prison without parole. He is set to begin trial in May and has pled not guilty.
Additionally, Mangione has been charged by federal prosecutors for using a firearm to commit murder and interstate stalking resulting in death, which could see him face the death penalty.
