Diddy links up with Bryson Tiller for first new track in half a decade

Diddy has released his first track in five years, ‘Gotta Move’, which also features Bryson Tiller.

Last month, Diddy announced his comeback when he shared the news of his first solo album since 2006 which he revealed will be released through Love Records, which he is helping launch. Although he will still also be involved with Bad Boy Entertainment as a supervisor for the foreseeable future.

The new label is a subsidiary of Motown Records and is “dedicated to R&B music and will release singles and collaborative projects from a collective of world-class artists, producers and songwriters”.

“Music has always been my first love. Love Records is the next chapter, is about getting back to the love and making the best music of my life,” Diddy said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Motown Records CEO and Chairwoman Ethiopia Habtemariam added: “This is a major moment for Motown, as Diddy is one of this century’s most important voices in music and culture; to be a part of his next evolution and album is nothing short of monumental.”

‘Gotta Move’ was first debuted at the Billboard Music Awards last month, but it has now been given an official release. “She don’t want it, she don’t want it, Get in your bag, stay in your bag,” Diddy and Tiller sing in harmony towards the start of the track.

Later on, they both chant on the chorus: “She don’t want my love, I guess I gotta move on, Yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah, Oh but, if she don’t want my love, I guess I gotta move on, Oh yeah, yeah, oh yeah, oh no.”
