New details surrounding Diddy’s arson attack on Kid Cudi come to light

More and more details surrounding the various crimes and wrongdoings of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs seem to come to light daily. Now, more information surrounding an arson attack allegedly carried out by Diddy, targeting fellow hip-hop star Kid Cudi, has been revealed in a report.

This situation first came to light last year when the American musician Cassie – Cassandra Ventura – filed a formal lawsuit against Combs. The suit claimed that, over the course of their relationship, Combs had raped her, as well as exposing her to various forms of sexual, mental, and physical abuse. Within that lawsuit, it was also revealed that when Cassie began dating Kid Cudi in 2012, Combs allegedly threatened to blow up Cudi’s car.

Not long after these threats were made, Cudi’s Porsche exploded into flames while parked on his driveway – a fact that Cudi has since confirmed via a spokesperson. A new report into the incident, first obtained by Rolling Stone, has revealed more details surrounding this event, which took place on January 9th, 2012, at Cudi’s home in Los Angeles.

Although no suspects were identified within the report, it states that the fire caused upwards of $10,000 in damages and that the fire was first reported at 10:53am. These details seem to fall in line with the narrative that prosecutors have been dealing with. Earlier this month, the prosecution submitted a letter to the court opposing Diddy’s bail, which also touched upon the supposed arson attack on Kid Cudi.

The letter suggests that Combs employed co-conspirators to carry out the attack, writing that the crime had been carried out by “slicing open the car’s convertible top and dropping a Molotov cocktail inside”. The letter also claims that “multiple witnesses” could attest to Combs later “bragging about his role in destroying Individual-1’s car.”

In opposition, the legal team for Diddy – who has pleaded not guilty to the many crimes levelled against him, shared, “There is no allegation that Mr Combs was involved in these actions or directed anyone else to take them. It’s clear the government doesn’t know who set fire to the vehicle or how it relates to Mr Combs, who denies any involvement.”

For his part, Kid Cudi has not commented any further on the destruction of his vehicle or the possible involvement of Sean Combs. Diddy faced multiple criminal charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering. He currently faces a minimum of 15 years in prison, up to a maximum of life if convicted.
