Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs affiliate speaks out: “I didn’t want to be around him unless there was cameras”
The trailer for a new documentary about the life and times of Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs has been released. Titled Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy, the film is described as a “raw, exclusive look at Sean Combs long before he was known as Puff or Diddy.”
The documentary features exclusive footage and stories from his affiliates, providing a backstory on his childhood, rise to fame and criminal allegations. Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy aims to make viewers “rethink everything they thought they knew about the mogul behind the music.”
The 90-minute special is set to air on Peacock on January 14th and is said to provide “crucial insight into the forces that shaped [Combs] and may have made him a monster.” It includes unseen footage of Combs partying both at home and in the studio.
Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy includes interviews with Combs’ childhood friends, his former bodyguard, producer/singer-songwriter Al B. Sure! and a winner of the music competition series Making the Band. His bodyguard, intern, makeup artist and producer all speak out against Combs.
At one point in the trailer, someone who was once in Combs’ inner circle says, “Honestly, I didn’t want to be around him unless there was cameras.” Elsewhere, a person whose identity is hidden claims that Combs slept with people who were underage.
“I’ve been with Sean for quite a while, and I’ve captured a lot of moments,” the person says in the clip. “Any time a studio or any rooms is red, he’s making love and sex. Some of the ones who went in the room, for sure they were underage.”
Combs was arrested in September and charged with racketeering, sex trafficking by force and transportation for purposes of prostitution. He’s currently jailed at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, having been denied bail three times. The judge stated that “no condition or combination of conditions will reasonably assure the safety of the community.”
The rapper is facing over 100 claims of sexual assault allegations, but he has pled not guilty and denies the accusations of wrongdoing. His trial is set to begin on May 5th.
