Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs faces new sexual assault lawsuit from radio competition winner
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is facing another allegation of sexual assault. Over the last year, alleged victims of the incarcerated music mogul continue coming forward as this time, such as a radio competition winner who is the latest to accuse him of rape.
According to a lawsuit obtained by Us Weekly, LaTroya Grayson is suing Combs over an incident that allegedly occurred in 2006. Grayson states that she went to a party, where she was drugged and raped by the musician.
Grayson was at the party because her sibling had won a contest through an Oklahoma radio station. The prize was an all-expenses-paid trip for the winner and a guest, as they were flown to New York, put in a hotel and allowed to attend Combs’s White Party.
The complainant states that she and her sister went to the White Party, which was changed to a Black Party on short notice. She was allowed inside when the two of them arrived, but her sister had to stay outside. According to the documents filed at court, Grayson had two drinks at the party and then began to feel sick, so she headed to the restroom.
According to Grayson, she then doesn’t remember anything else about the night, apart from waking up in Saint Vincent’s Medical Center in New York. She didn’t have anything with her, but her t-shirt had been ripped, and she wasn’t wearing any underwear.
She then states that when flying home from New York back to Oklahoma, she received a call from an anonymous number. On the other end of the line was a female voice she didn’t recognise, who said that she shouldn’t pursue legal action against Combs because he was a celebrity and she would just be wasting her time.
Combs and his team have yet to respond to this claim. He has had over 100 charges brought against him and continues to maintain his innocence. “I did not do any of the awful things being alleged,” he said in a statement released in September, “I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.”
His legal team released a blanket statement in October addressing the claims that continue to be brought against the mogul. “As Mr Combs legal team has emphasised, he cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus,” they said, “That said, Mr Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors.”
