Desiigner arrested in South Carolina for allegedly chasing woman with hammer

Desiigner has been arrested after allegedly chasing a woman with a hammer.

The ‘Panda’ rapper (real name Sidney Royel Selby III) was taken into custody in Horry County on July 15th following a domestic violence incident.

According to WBTW, Desiigner was arrested at a home on Arbor Ridge Circle in the Conway area of South Carolina.

He was charged with second-degree domestic violence, two counts of malicious injury to animals, personal property, injury value more than $2,000 but less than $10,000, and one count of malicious injury to animals, personal property, injury value $2,000 or less.

The woman involved in the incident claimed she got into an argument with Desiigner about him taking televisions off a wall. She alleges that he grabbed her phones and smashed them with a hammer, forcing her to run outside while yelling for help with her child in her arms.

In the garden of a nearby home, the woman claims Desiigner grabbed her and threw her onto the ground. She says he then threw her handbag over a fence.

She allegedly stood up with the child and ran into a neighbour’s home before locking herself in a bathroom. Desiigner allegedly used a hammer and screwdriver to damage the neighbour’s vehicles.

He was given a $1,500 bond on one of the malicious-injury charges, but no bond was set on the other charges.

Desiigner was previously arrested on a third-degree domestic violence charge in March. He was taken to the Horry County Sheriff’s Office before being released on a $1,500 bond.

The 29-year-old rapper was previously signed to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music, making a name for himself with songs like ‘Panda’ and ‘Tiimmy Turner’.
