Dave Chappelle addresses Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs situation in ‘Saturday Night Live’ monologue

Dave Chappelle appeared on Saturday Night Live over the weekend and made jokes about Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs during his monologue. The controversial comedian appeared on the show alongside musical guest GloRilla, poking fun at the Bad Boy founder’s infamous “freak-offs.”

Chappelle got onto the topic of Combs, who is currently jailed on sex trafficking and racketeering charges, by bringing up the number of legal cases piling up against him.

“I’ve been in trouble in my day. Well, I’ve been in a lot of trouble in my day,” he began. “But man, let me tell you something, this guy Puffy, this guy is in an enormous amount of trouble. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like this. They’ve got this guy in a RICO case… by himself!”

He then went on to the topic of “freak-offs,” which have been described as drug-fuelled, days-long orgies. “My friends asked me, they said, ‘Dave, did you know anything about those freak-off parties?’” he said. “I’d be like, ‘Nah, man. I didn’t know anything about the freak-offs.’

“They’d be like, ‘Well, how are all these people you know was at the freak-off but you’re the only one that wasn’t at the freak-off?’ And I thought about it for a minute and I thought, ‘Oh my gosh. I’m ugly.’ That’s a tough way to find that out.”

He added, “Can you imagine you and me reading the newspaper and finding out that everyone in Hollywood had an orgy behind your back?! None of y’all called me?! Well, that really hurts. I’m glad they didn’t call me though ’cause the stories that come out about it are crazy.”

Chappelle isn’t the only comedian to joke about “freak-offs” on a big stage this year. At the Golden Globes on January 5th, host Nikki Glaser praised Zendeya’s performance in Challengers while claiming it was more “sexually charged” than Combs’ credit card.

She then joked, “I’m sorry – I’m upset too. The afterparty is not going to be as good this year, but we have to move on. I know a Stanley Tucci freak-off doesn’t have the same ring to it. No baby oil this year, just lots of olive oil.”
