Dame Dash hits Cam’ron with $300 million defamation lawsuit
Dame Dash has filed a $300 million defamation lawsuit against Cam’ron. The record executive is going after the Dipset rapper over alleged false claims about his businesses.
The Roc-A-Fella co-founder took to Instagram to share a formal demand letter, accusing Cam of defamation, harassment, business disparagement, tortious interference, and unjust enrichment.
For his allegations, he’s seeking six figures in damages, claiming the rapper also breached an agreement related to the Dipset Clothing Company.
In the caption, he wrote, “I never hustled with [Cam’ron]. He’s a civilian, but he’s fucking with my family office, and he’s now made my wife [and] two of my sons uncomfortable. I would never do anything violent. And I don’t want anyone that loves me to do anything violent, so this is the only way I can handle this.”
He continued, “So this is my version of how the Godfather handled Fredo. I knew it was going to be one of my brothers I just didn’t know it was going to be you bro. And that does make me sad. We’ll just have to let a judge decide like businessmen. And I don’t find it funny.”
The letter comes about shortly after Dash appeared on The Breakfast Club. Addressing his comments on the show, Cam described Dash as a “flagrant liar,” claiming his words “don’t count no more” because of his lack of teeth.
Dash co-founded Roc-A-Fella Records alongside Jay-Z and Kareem ‘Biggs’ Burke in 1994. Cam’ron signed to the label in 2001 through his childhood friend and manager, Dash.
He released his 2002 and 2004 albums, Come Home with Me and Purple Haze, on the label, as well as Dipset’s debut album, Diplomatic Immunity, in 2003.
