
Dallas rapper Zeethewizard dies after club shooting
Rapper Zeethewizard has died at the age of 25 after being shot at a nightclub in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
The Dallas artist (real name Zecqurie Fields) died on January 5th after being rushed to the hospital in critical condition on January 1st.
According to Fox 4 News, Zeethewizard was one of five people shot in the parking lot of Pinkhouse Dallas Club near Empire Central and North Stemmons Freeway.
The shooting occurred at around 3:45am, with the rapper confirmed to be the only person in critical condition. He was reportedly shot multiple times, and so far, there have been no arrests.
Fans took to social media to pay tribute to the rapper. One person wrote, “Prayers to his family and kids! Another king lost to senseless gun violence.”
Another person said, “Just started listening to g music literally a week ago – now, I’m seeing this??? Tsssss, condolences to the family fr.”
Zeethewizard performed earlier in the night. Following the incident, his affiliate, Himothy Chung, took to his Instagram Stories to ask for privacy in the situation.
“Out of respect for Zeethewizard and his family, we ask that you please respect our privacy during this difficult time,” he wrote. “In order to give him the care he needs, we are limiting hospital visitors. Please do not come to the hospital.”
He added, “Hospital security and police are enforcing these restrictions. We are deeply grateful for the prayers and support. We will update everyone when we see fit.”
Zeethewizard dropped his final project, Words of WIZdom, in April 2025. His biggest song, ‘Boss N***a’, was released in August and has 708,000 YouTube views.
