DaBaby settles bowling alley brawl lawsuit in Los Angeles

DaBaby has settled a lawsuit with the brother of his ex-girlfriend, DaniLeigh.

The Charlotte rapper got into an altercation with Brandon Bill$ (real name Brandon Curiel) at a bowling alley in Los Angeles in 2022.

According to TMZ, the lawsuit was settled on June 4th and will officially be dismissed in the next 45 days.

Bill$ sued DaBaby over his injuries in the brawl, which took place at Corbin Bowl. He alleged that the rapper “aggressively approached” him and threatened to assault him “in a loud bellicose manner,” causing “severe injury” from physical assault.

In May this year, Bill$ testified that DaBaby came up to him and said, “I just want to slap you up a bit. I just want to slap you around a little bit,” before punching him. He claimed that DaBaby threw the first punch and that he was at fault.

Speaking on the incident in 2022, DaBaby told The Breakfast Club, “I’m still scared of that situation now. I heard it was gonna be rough for me so I don’t really speak on that. N*gga might pop up downstairs.”

Judge Huey P Cotton previously dismissed the case in May 2025, stating that Bills failed to pursue his case promptly

“The only thing that made timely service difficult was plaintiff’s own lack of urgency,” the judge wrote. “Plaintiff’s own briefing establishes lack of diligence.” He added that “the weapon brandishing incident occurred when Corbin Bowl and not plaintiff attempted to serve defendant in North Carolina, nearly two years after the complaint was filed.”

DaBaby started dating DaniLeigh in 2020, before their relationship came to an end in 2021. They share one daughter named Velour.
