DaBaby laughs off being "cancelled" in new freestyle

DaBaby has appeared to laugh off the controversy surrounding his homophobic comments at Rolling Loud during a new freestyle.

During his set, he abhorrently told the crowd in Miami: “If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of the deadly sexually transmitted diseases that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up.” At another point, he disgustingly proclaimed: “Fellas, if you ain’t sucking dick in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up!”

Everyone from Elton John to Dua Lipa condemned the rapper for his hideous speech. DaBaby also lost a plethora of festival performances in light of his comments, which led to him apologising for his actions before later deleting it from his social media, which suggests it lacked sincerity.

Now, he has referenced the backlash he faced for his comments during a new freestyle called ‘Whole Lotta Money’. The video accompanying the track begins with a shot of him crying while wiping his eyes with tissues which read, “Starring DaBaby Cancelled Ass”.

In the opening verse, he deals with the fallout and raps, “N****s think I’m somewhere cryin’ with tissues / Certified, internet or not, I’ll get with you.”

DaBaby is seemingly doubling down on his cancellation and feeding his new villainous public persona. Check out the video for ‘Whole Lotta Money’ below.
