DaBaby claims he’s a better rapper than Drake, Kendrick Lamar and J Cole

DaBaby has claimed that he’s a better rapper than J Cole, Drake and Kendrick Lamar.

The Charlotte rapper, who has never been one to doubt his abilities, recently claimed that he’s more talented than the “big three.”

Speaking to Nadeska Alexis on Apple Music, DaBaby solidified his thoughts on being better than the rest of the rap game.

“A thousand percent, a thousand percent,” he said. “Like, you can go back to when I first started… I always say like – and I know a lot of people say they’re the best – but, like, I’m the best motherfuckin’ rapper. Like, I’ve been saying it like, and you know, I often say it when I do my freestyles or whatever.”

He continued, “This is a phrase of mine, and a lot of people are familiar with me saying it, but I definitely do mean it. And you know, it ain’t no of course I feel like everybody should feel like they’re the best, but that’s not – I’m not talking like that – when I say that. Like, I’m better than these n*ggas. Like, I really mean that.”

DaBaby previously rapped about the trio on ‘Beneficial’, a song released in January as part of his latest album, Be More Grateful.

In the song, he rapped, “Gotta put me there with Cole and Kendrick, Drake they say it’s seepin’ in.”

Be More Grateful, which debuted at number 25 on the Billboard 200 chart, served as his first studio album in four years following 2022’s Baby on Baby 2.

The 34-year-old collaborated with Cole in 2019 on ‘Under the Sun’, which appeared on the Dreamville compilation, Revenge of the Dreamers III.
