Charlamagne Tha God criticises Drake over “fake friends” speech

When it comes to commentary and opinions about the hip-hop scene, Drake’s main adversary is usually Joe Budden. However, he may end up hating Charlamagne Tha God as well because The Breakfast Club host recently clowned him for the impromptu rant he went on at a Toronto party.

Drizzy has been relatively quiet about his battle earlier this year with Kendrick Lamar. However, it appears that he was suppressing his emotions as he went on a passionate rant at Tyrone Edwards’ Nostalgia Party about lessons he learned after the feud.

During his tirade, Drake started talking about “fake friends” and people stabbing him in the back. However, as one of the most successful hip-hop artists of recent times, people aren’t keen to join his pity party.

In the eyes of the culture, he lost. It now seems that he is turning out to be a sore loser and lashing out at others for his own failure to beat Kendrick Lamar in a battle. It has left a bitter taste in the mouth of many, especially Charlamagne Tha God, who analysed the rant on The Breakfast Club.

In the eyes of Charlamagne, Drake is “hurting” and is releasing the emotions he has been suppressing for months. After his macho speech, the Views rhymer played Beyoncé‘s anthem ‘Me, Myself & I’ and then 50 Cent’s gangsta rap hit ‘Many Men’.

Charalamagne unveiled that he was shocked by how seriously Drake had taken his loss, stating, “That was by far one of the top three most beige moments in light-skin history. I thought that Kendrick’s execution of this battle was flawless – the strategy, the songs, everything – but I didn’t think that it had that much of an impact on Drake.”

That said, the radio host didn’t feel bad for Drake and found it quite funny, as he explained, “Drake is hurting! Oh my God! He is hurt! You can’t go on an unfollow spree then go on a stage and cry about not having no real friends or whatever that was about and go into Beyoncé’s ‘Me, Myself & I.’ When I tell you, Kendrick Lamar put his foot all the way up Drake’s ass…”

During his rant, Drake told the crowd, “But I’m gonna tell you, you’re gonna come to a point in life where people you thought were friends, or people you thought were close to you, they might switch up, they might try fighting with you, they might stab you in the back.”

However, as Charlamagne Tha God highlighted, Drake was the individual who allegedly chose to unfollow the NBA stars LeBron James and DeMar DeRozan, who showed love to Kendrick amid the beef. Therefore many are insisting that it is Drizzy who is distancing himself from so-called “friends”, not the other way around.
