Cassie’s alleged texts to Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs following 2016 assault revealed

Footage surfaced of Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs assaulting Cassie in the hallway of a hotel emerged earlier this year, which shocked the world.

The horrifying clip, dating back to March 2016 at the InterContinental in Los Angeles, showed the Bad Boy boss running after the singer and pulling her to the ground using her hair before going on to kick her and drag her along the floor.

Now, the US government have revealed some of the alleged texts that Cassie sent to Diddy following the incident. Across the messages, she claimed to have suffered bruises to her eye and lip, calling him “sick” for his actions that also made her bleed after being struck in the head.

“I have a black eye and fat lip,” she told him, in alleged texts obtained by Enstarz. “You are sick for thinking it’s OK to do what you’ve done… I still have crazy bruising. I turn my head for a second, and you get fucked up, and you drag me down the hall by my hair… I have bleeding cuts… You hit me in the head two good times.”

Cassie continued to reference Diddy getting “fucked up” and becoming aggressive, suggesting his actions in the footage wasn’t the first time that substances had played a part in treating her that way. “When you get fucked up the wrong way, you always want to show me that you have the power and you knock me around,” she said. “I’m not a rag doll. I’m someone’s child.”

After the footage surfaced online, Cassie told her Instagram followers that the domestic violence she suffered “broke me down to someone I never thought I would become.” Diddy apologised for his actions, admitting he was “disgusted” with himself and had made the decision to seek help.

“My behaviour on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video,” he said. “I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now. I went and I sought out professional help. I got into going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry. But I’m committed to being a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry.”

The video of the incident arrived after Cassie sued Diddy last year, claiming that she suffered a “cycle of abuse, violence and sex trafficking” to her ex-partner for over a decade. An agreement to resolve the case was announced just one day after the filing.
